More on the Church and Money

The Church & Money: Plasma TV or Feed the Poor?
"It's an age old debate–where to spend the church's money. Is our money better suited going to the poor or to a new website? The AIDS crisis or a coffee bar?"

Yeah, I know, you weren't expecting me to link to that. It's kind of the opposite of what I've been saying about church spending. But it made me think so there you go.

File Under "Fiction"

One of Christianiy's best known modern apologists, Josh McDowell (our youth will remember him from the night that we saw Superchic[k]), responds to The DaVinci Code. I wish Christians didn't need to react to a work of fiction. Since people seem to have a hard time separating Dan Brown's imagination from reality I guess you better listen to what Josh has to say about it.

My suspicion is that a lot of people wish that The DaVinci Code was true so they could disregard Jesus. If you are wondering how much of it is true you owe it to yourself to at least hear from both sides of the discussion.

White House Correspondents Dinner

Quote from comedian Steve Colbert delivering the monologue at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

And though I am a committed Christian, I believe that everyone has the right to their own religion, be you Hindu, Jewish or Muslim. I believe there are infinite paths to accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior.

Priceless :)
